Therapy is a relationship

As you search for the right clinician to meet your needs, keep in mind that therapy is a relationship. Talk to several therapists, ask questions, and listen to your gut. If it doesn’t work out with one person, don’t give up. The right connection at the right time can support you in getting what you need from treatment.

About me

My name is Dr. Sasha Ruane-Borges-Ho, and I am a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. I am a trained generalist, and I specialize in trauma. I believe firmly that we can recover and thrive after painful experiences. We are built to heal. This work is deeply meaningful to me. In every client relationship, I look to foster trust, warmth, and an authentic connection.

When I’m not working, I spend a lot of time with my friends, spouse, and dog. Sometimes in session you’ll catch a glimpse of our dog’s happy tail on camera. I enjoy cooking, but probably indulge in the eating part more. I love games of all types (e.g., board, video, role-playing), and have a lovely group of friends who share this value for fun. I tend to bring fun into my work and am likely to encourage you to identify your own strongly held values and to live them enthusiastically.
